My performance experience is very extensive and very versatile.
Beginning at age 13 and continuing until
high school graduation.
I performed in and around North Central TX for school functions,
private parties, civic
gatherings and church
activities.
Immediately following graduation I began an intense relationship with
the military. After a four year stint
which included Vietnam,
Taiwan, Japan, Philippines and Okinawa, becoming a trusted shell-back
in 1972. I was
honorably discharged
from the Marine Corps in Southern CA.
After performing in
the Enlisted and NCO Clubs
on military bases, as well as a variety of establishments
in the
little villas and towns of numerous foreign countries, the
coffeehouses and clubs of Southern CA came as quite
a culture shock. The
college campuses and small concert scenes enriched my educational
career which has been
ongoing and ever-changing, helping
to hone my stage presence and expand my base for my songwriting and
storytelling.
My travels have taken me from CA to CT, all across the middle of the
United States, finally coming full circle
into Northwest Arkansas
by the late 80's. I continue to endeavor to make a difference in
the lives of those attentive
individuals in my
audience.
During my career, I have performed for small groups and for the
masses. Although I continue to travel and
perform at variety of
events, such as clubs, fraternity/sorority parties, weddings, business
after hours functions, private
parties and such - the children's presentations have become my life blood
and my life's work. "Cowtails
and Little
Red Wagon Trails"
,
"Traildrive Stew"
are two recordings dedicated to children's ability to learn and have
fun
through music.
MISSION STATEMENT
BUILDING TOMORROW'S VALUES ON THE
HISTORY OF YESTERDAY
1.
To
"Educate"
children of all ages with an interactive performance which is upbeat,
fun
and factually based on cowboy history of life on the trail and at home
on the ranch.
2.
To
"Enrich" the lives of children with examples of
the cowboy view of honor, self respect,
integrity and honesty.
3.
To concentrate on the special needs of the audience through song and
story. To
"Inspire"
children to become who they want to be by being who they really are.
4.
To
"Encourage" children to learn more about history.
How it has and will affect our
everyday lives, and to remember the basic values that were the Old
West.
